Sometime I'm facing same story about short drums with my v4 Midjay.I found out that drum instruments are respecting strictly the lenght of the notes.Let's say if you have a crush with lenght 0 , the sound will be very short.If you try to change the lenght with a sequencer, everything turns ok.
