which PC operatingsystem do you use ?

I had no problems with win7 ( 32 and 64 bit ) neither on pc nor on notebook.

But I don´t use sonar, I use the "midiland optimizer", "Yamaha XG-Works" and some other tools . But as it looks your problem is the missing driver. If that is solved it´s quite unimportant which software you use.
