It had been suggested by some SD1 users that doing a complete 4.0b load rather than upgrading 3.0 > 4.0a > 4.0b, eliminates most, if not all of the latency/polyphony problems. First of all, do you concur?
>>>AJ: Not really. A missing file while downloading/installing can cause the OS to operate abnormally, but the upgrade (with all files) should work regardless of previous OS.

Secondly, which of your above mentioned procedures should be used... already having 4.0b from upgrades... and wanting to do a complete reload of 4.0 with the new sounds?
>>>AJ: If you already have 4.0a (that comes with the new sounds) and you just want to do an OS upgrade, 4.0b should be ok. However, if you don't want the 4.0 sounds then 4.0b (No Sounds) is what you're looking for.
