Uncle Dave's solution works great. Sorry I didn't thank you earlier. I had to make a special cord to acheive the desired result. An Aux out on a mixer is usually 1/4". However the mic input on the sd1 requires an XLR Male. Most cables are 1/4" to XLR female, it is hard to find 1/4" to XLR male. I bought the end connectors and built my own cable. sending to vocals to the mixer is as easy as connecting a standard 1/4" to 1/4" from mic output 1 from the sd1 to channel 2 of the mixer. Most mixers have an Aux send volume for each channel it's usually located right under the LOW range volume setting. The send volume must all be at 0 on each channel accept for the microphone channel. This will limit the amount of microphone volume you send to your sd1. Make sure that mic volume in back of the sd1 is also at 0.

It's a very simple way of seperating lead and vocals, but someone had to think about it.

Thanks Uncle Dave!
