Also, don't forget to disable "Chase" for program changes. If it is enabled, your sequencer will automatically send a program change and any CC messages up to the point where you are starting the song. This, of course, only has an effect when you start the song in the middle somewhere (like if you're overdubbing midi or audio parts).

With my JV-2080, even though I disable these, I find that the timing just is not as tight as it should be. If I compare it to my Trinity or E5000 Ultra, those 2 have a definitely tighter sound to them. Maybe it's the sounds themselves but the JV sounds sloppy in comparison.
