I'm not too familiar with the JV-2080 (I've got the cheapo version - 1010), but if I remember right, your "mix" out is the default out for everything, and the "direct" outs will have nothing except patches that were specifically assigned to them through settings in the module. Roland has some documentation for it's modules at it's website - might see if there's any hints there. http://www.rolandus.com
