Cassp has the 'zero cost' solution... I use that myself, and can raise some VERY heavy speakers with minimal effort (don't forget, one end of the system is on the ground).

But don't let that persuade any of you to NOT spend lots of money. The economy needs all the frivolous spending it can get to recover quickly...
