I'd like some response from fellow XP60 or XP80 users as to where the synth fits into your setup. Is it central?

Do you, for example, use the onboard sequencer to control external devices?

Having recently acquired the HIP HOP expansion to fill the last slot(others boards are SFX, VINTAGE & EXP II) I'm amazed by the sheer power of this synth to produce fine sounding work with no need for external devices. What do the semi/professionals say to that?

I just ask because more and more I am moving away from PC sequencing towards the XP. I wonder where the possibilities lie. I'm not interested in the what the manual says about this. I'd like to know how real people use their synths.
