As I am about to take the plunge into producing electronic music I would like the opinions of those more experienced then me as to my choice of first equipment.

I have decided on getting a Roland EG-101 and linking it with a Yamaha RM1x. Does anybody have any ideas as to pros/cons of this setup. I have decided on this against a software seq. like Cubase mainly because the RM1x would be only slightly more expensive then a copy of Cubase and a good enough sound card, along with anything else I would need for my computer.

Anyone have any comments on either or both of these machines? I will be wanting to create Goa/Industrial predominately......
