The cable needed depends on what ports are available on your computer. Do you have a sound card? If so, does it have a 15-pin game (joystick) port that is MIDI-capable? If the sound capabilities are built into the mother board, does it support MIDI? Is there a USB port? Come to think of it, PC or Mac?
If you can supply some details, I might have suggestions.
